UQ Health Insitu is the quality, online continuing education provider for health professionals. Backed by the resources of The University of Queensland, UQ Health Insitu provides behavior changing professional development short courses for individuals and organisations using best practice online and blended learning strategies.
UQ Health Insitu hosts a range of programs for health professionals which now include topics ranging from primary care and hospital practice to chronic disease management to management and leadership courses.
We also host mandatory training courses for pharmaceutical industry medical representatives.
Many UQ Health Insitu courses are linked to UQ award programs. Participants in the short courses learn alongside students enrolled in award programs. Some of the short courses are on a direct learning pathway to higher degree programs.
For example: General Practitioners now have the choice of enrolling directly into the Master of Medicine (General Practice) or to complete one or more of the short courses through UQ Health Insitu before transferring into the Master of Medicine program and gaining recognition of prior learning (RPL) toward their Master degree.
UQ Health Insitu offers courses that combine online learning with face-to-face workshops designed for specific skills acquisition.
We are constantly releasing new courses and services to support health professionals to extend their knowledge and skills whilst balancing the demands of work and family with appropriately flexible learning options and we are committed to a continuous program of evaluation, improvement, research and innovation to bring the best educational solutions to our stakeholders.
