About UQ Health Insitu

UQ Health Insitu is the highly respected, online continuing professional development (CPD) education site for health professionals.

Backed by the resources of The University of Queensland and Medeserv-PrimEd, UQ Health Insitu provides CPD short courses and behaviour changing education for individuals and organisations, in areas such as leadership and management, quality and safety, innovation and change management, clinical handover and clinical skills disciplines.

Much of our education has a multi-disciplinary focus and is suitable for a wide range of health professionals. Most of our CPD courses are accredited or endorsed with the relevant professional associations for CPD points. Accrediting-endorsing bodies including:

Royal College of Nursing, Australia
Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine

The short courses incorporate a variety of different learning tools including case studies, interactive polls and discussions, online facilitators, multi-media resources, didactic material, personal learning workbooks and informal assessment and feedback.

CPD articulating to UQ award programs

Many of the CPD short courses are on a learning pathway to UQ Graduate Certificate and Masters Award programs.

These courses offer a flexible study pathway for those wishing to work towards a postgraduate qualification. Completing the short courses through UQ Health Insitu allows learners to access flexible CPD education AND provides the option to upgrade to a UQ graduate certificate or masters program at a later date, by applying for transfers of credit when accepted into the program. There is no wasted learning experience!
