This expansion of care need will require an understanding of the global effects of aging on function, broad knowledge of the roles of different members of the health care team and key community agencies, skills in managing a broader range of clinical conditions which present commonly in older age groups, and an understanding of the ethical and legal dimensions associated with end-of-life decision-making. |
