Learners who engage with UQ Health Insitu education programs demonstrate a significant improvement in skills and understanding whilst expressing high satisfaction levels and a willingness to re-engage with both our physical and online courseware.
As the lifelong learning arm of the University of Queensland Faculty of Health Sciences, UQ Health Insitu draws on the expertise of all schools and centres within the Faculty to develop and deliver continuing professional development programs for health professionals using best practice online and blended learning strategies.
Master of Medicine (General Practice) – GPs will be able to do it either in a short-course format as continuing professional development for points recognised by the RACGP and ACRRM, or be enrolling in the Masters program. Alternatively they can move seamlessly between either of the two modes over a few years.
The strength of this approach lies in its flexibility. Students are not constrained by time, normal enrolment requirements or exam dates, but are able to move at their own pace.
Introduction to evidence-based practice – a professional development program designed for hospital-based clinicians on evidence-based practice and critical appraisal, co-developed with Queensland Health. The take-up of this program and others like it by Queensland Health staff has been dramatic.
