From 2008, 70% of the Master of Medicine (General Practice) credits
are available via UQ Health Insitu – a
flexible, web-based e-learning environment which allows GPs to
undertake ½ unit of study (6 hours) in discrete blocks, without the time
and financial commitment of a full Master’s subject. Available modules
include dermatology, primary eye care, chronic disease management,
care of ageing Australians, advanced diabetes care and GP mental health and counseling. A
practical skills-based workshop is also available in each stream. Join GPs from all over Australia and
internationally in acquiring advanced skills in important clinical areas.

- Between 6-12 hours study time
- Online coursework and collaboration
- Accredited for 30 Category 1 RACGP QA&CPD points as an Active Learning Module
- Accredited for ACRRM Professional Development Points

Extended courses articulate with the UQ Master of Medicine (General Practice) and are recognised for transfer credit.*

You can enrol in an extended course, which is typically:
- Equivalent in scope to a University course (i.e. >25 hours study)
- Online coursework and collaboration
- Accredited for RACGP and/or ACRRM points
- Assessment requirements
- Face to face workshop at The University of Queensland
- Statement of Satisfactory Completion awarded on assessment pass
