Using EPC items to optimise chronic disease management (ES-8033)
This tutorial, presented by Robyn Chambers, discusses those Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Medicare items applicable for the assessment and management of patients with chronic disease – either in the office or in the home. How to apply the EPC items and the specific eligibility criteria are also covered.

Learning Objectives:

  • Be able to use Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) items to optimise the care of Australians with chronic disease
  • Be aware of the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) items in the Medicare Benefits Schedule in Australia that are applicable to the management of people with chronic disease
This education program is developed and delivered for the University of Queensland, by University of Queensland (UQ) Health Insitu. UQ Health Insitu is the lifelong learning arm of the University of Queensland Faculty of Health Sciences.

Expert presenter:
Ms Robyn Chambers

Robyn has 16 years' experience as a domiciliary nurse and 3 years as a community health hospital liaison with the Princess Alexander hospital, Brisbane. Robyn also held the position of service co-ordinator on the Team Care Co-ordinated Trial (Brisbane North Division of GP’s.) She is currently the Community Practice Nurse at the Camp Hill Medical Centre in Brisbane, QLD.
