Margo Newman
Margo Newman is a graduate of The University of Queensland and has more than 20 years extensive experience as a social worker in Canberra, Wollongong and Brisbane.
For the past 15 years Margo has been employed by the Princess Alexandra Hospital as the Senior Social Worker for the Aged Care Team. During this time Margo has been involved in several pieces of research, including a ten site study across Brisbane into the number of patients waiting for residential care in the public hospital system and also a retrospective qualitative study 'that surveyed the attitudes of patients towards their circumstances six months post placement in a low care facility.'
With a clinical caseload in the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Unit, Margo facilitates the weekly Amputee Discussion and Support Group for inpatients. She also has post-graduate qualifications in relationship counselling and worked concurrently in this area for several years at Relationships Australia.
Stephen Gamble
Stephen has a B. Applied Science (Health Education), and has worked as the Brisbane North Manager at the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre for the last 5 years. Stephen also has experience in managing a disability service and has worked in aged care.
