Communication
Enrolled users will be contacted by email from time to time with information relating to their enrolled course(s).
Fee-for-service programs must be paid in full prior to enrolment.
Enrolment
When considering enrolment in a UQ Health Insitu course, students should consider the course information and the duration and availability of the course. This information can be obtained from the Programs Listing.
Students can enroll in a course any time during its availability (as published) and should only do so when they can see a clear path to completion of their enrolled course(s) prior to the published course completion date.
Refunds
A refund will be considered if all of the following conditions are met:
- a request to cancel enrolment in the course citing exceptional circumstances, is submitted via the UQ Health Insitu Contact Form within seven days of the enrolled date, and
- the enrolled user has not accessed content or services associated with the course, i.e. has not:
- logged on to the course’s website
- taken receipt of course printed material, or
- participated in any other activity associated with the specific nature of the enrolled course.
If a student’s circumstances are considered to be exceptional (see below), all tuition fees paid will be refunded to the original payee, less an administration fee of $66 per enrolment (including GST). Deferment is not offered to enrolled students of UQ Health Insitu.
All refunds are processed within four weeks of UQ Health Insitu confirming that exceptional circumstances apply.
Exceptional circumstances
The following circumstances represent acceptable grounds for granting a refund of tuition fees after an enrolment has been processed:
- A serious health problem, or the onset of a chronic health problem since the enrolment processing date, as evidenced by medical certificates (e.g. car accident, hospitalisation/recovery from hospitalisation, chronic viral infection).
- Serious personal trauma since the enrolment processing date, as evidenced by medical certificates and/or personal declaration.
- Demonstrable change in personal circumstances since the enrolment processing date, as supported by personal declaration and other evidence (eg, maternity leave, severe financial stress, onset of severe illness in an immediate family member).
- Evidence that the student is unable to cope with course studies or has clearly made an incorrect career choice and is unable to meet the requirements of the course(s).
